A Senior Consultant with extensive experience of the development of quality systems and the use of statistical process control techniques in (among others) the automotive, banking and pharmaceutical sectors.

Stan was co-author of Ford’s quality system, which is mandatory for all Ford plants, suppliers and sub-suppliers. He also co-wrote the Ford Statistical Process Control Instruction Guide, which has become the industry standard..

In 1988 his Information Technology quality assurance training programme won the bronze annual Computer Weekly training award.

Stan helped TSB Homeloans Limited to win the 1996 Quality Scotland Award for Business Excellence in the Service Sector.

Stan specialises in the Japanese/Deming approach to process and design improvement in both manufacturing and service.

Stan is also a recognised expert in the Pinboard technique for dramatically improving the effectiveness of meetings/workshops. He has designed and run hundreds of workshops over the last 20 years and regularly runs courses to teach others to be Pinboard facilitators.
