1-DAY Introduction to ISO 9001:2000 and Quality Management Systems
Course Tutor: Mike Stone
An Introduction to Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2000
This one-day workshop provides delegates with a good understanding of ISO 9001 and the effectiveness of a well-implemented Quality System. Participation is welcomed at all times during the day and delegates will have various clauses in ISO 9001:2000 explained and discussed in relation to their own work.
The primary aim of such quality system standards is to achieve good management control. This automatically results in improved quality of output, be that a product or service. These system standards were not designed to address technical inadequacy. To some degree, technical competence is assumed. It is the management of the infrastructure of the company/organisation which needs to be examined and improved, as this is where the root cause (or causes) of problems are usually found.
ISO 9001 is an international standard for Quality Management Systems. It does not guarantee perfection of product or service, but instead is complimentary focusing on the quality of management in making product or service available.
